About the Inn
We think that everyone deserves a place to retreat, relax, and unwind. We invite you and yours to visit Horse Stamp Inn to take time for yourself and each other. As you drive into the 16 acre property, you’ll be greeted by exquisite, rural countryside views graced with two beautiful horses, Belle and Sarge. Although they are retired from riding, they will greet you and welcome your attention. The circle drive, featuring a picturesque fountain, leads you to a boardwalk that takes you to an artesian pond stocked with bass, bream, carp and catfish where you may try your hand at catch and release. Enjoy the Adirondack chairs and swings located around the pond and fire pit during the day or evening. A private 16’ x 32’ swimming pool awaits you with poolside chaises and chairs.
Inside the 2-story southern plantation style contemporary home, you will find oversize accommodations with many large windows allowing you to enjoy the peaceful views. The home provides many common spaces for enjoying the company of others or finding quiet time for yourself. The Living Room provides a light and cozy space for intimate conversation or watching movies. The Gathering Room with it’s large patio doors leading to a screened in porch, is the place where you will enjoy your three-course breakfast and a 24 hour complimentary Refreshment Center. The Gathering Room shares a two-sided, floor to ceiling fireplace with the Library where you can curl up on the leather couch to read one of the many inspirational books and magazines offered at the Inn. There is also an assortment of board and card games to enjoy.
With it’s elegant features, Horse Stamp Inn also features a rustic barn and beautifully groomed garden space for weddings, events, retreats and gatherings.
Horse Stamp Inn sits on the site of a former pecan orchard and still boasts 15 producing pecan trees. In 2007 the house was built as a private residence, then converted to a bed and breakfast in 2012. Tim and Pam Ahrens purchased the inn in August 2017 with the goal of providing peaceful and inspirational hospitality to their new and returning bed & breakfast and event guests.
Meet the Innkeepers
After marrying in 2004, raising their five children, completing their graduate degrees, remodeling a couple of homes, starting new job positions, and experiencing other family changes, the Ahrens understand the importance of spending quality time together, focusing on relationship growth and wellness. Tim and Pam Ahrens have long dreamed of together owning a business that provides their guests with opportunities to do the same.
The opportunity to purchase Horse Stamp Inn in 2017 was perfectly timed with their new found freedom as “empty nesters.” Tim and Pam left careers as organizational development and learning managers in the corporate world to pursue their dream. With a passion for building relationships, their hearts look forward to making every wedding, retreat, meeting, reunion, or weekend getaway the most special experience it can be.
Tim and Pam have the pleasure of putting Pam’s mom, Julie, to work at the Inn. Julie is responsible for folding towels and looks forward to saying Hello! Lindy and Lucy, their family pets may also greet you with a bark or two. Although they live at the Inn, Lindy and Lucy are not allowed in any of the guest bedrooms. We do not allow other pets at the Inn but are happy to refer you to a Dog Boarding facility that is five minutes from the inn.
